Alteration in the German Watchtower about spousal physical abuse
by slimboyfat ini noticed that the german edition of the study watchtower for today didn't include the phrase about the husband "hitting" the sister.
instead it just says that he became ferociously angry, which need not imply physical abuse.
i wonder if the german translator altered it off his own back or was instructed, and how other language editions compare.

Brother Morris entered the pioneer service in 1971 in the United States. In December of that year, he married Susan, and they continued pioneering for nearly four years until the birth of their first son, Jesse. In time, they had another son, Paul. Brother Morris reentered the full-time service in 1979 as a regular pioneer. His wife joined him when the boys entered school. The family served where the need was great in Rhode Island and North Carolina, in the United States. In North Carolina, Brother Morris served as a substitute circuit overseer, and the boys took up regular pioneer service. Jesse and Paul were invited to the United States branch at the age of 19. Meanwhile, Brother Morris began circuit work. Then, in 2002 he and Susan were invited to Bethel, starting their new assignment on August 1. Brother Morris worked in the Service Department at Patterson and later as a helper to the Service Committee of the Governing Body.
In addition to these two new members, the Governing Body consists of C. W. Barber; J. E. Barr; S. F. Herd; M. S. Lett; G. Lösch; T. Jaracz; G. H. Pierce; A. D. Schroeder; D. H. Splane; and D. Sydlik. All members of the Governing Body are anointed Christians.

I appreciated his honesty, when he said that he will not cry when the preaching work ends, he admitted that it is a hard work, and you really need Jah's Holy Spirit to do it.
You think? It's all easy street now. I wonder what his sons Jesse and Paul think of him, doing only administrative work and joining the invisible skies later on?

Sic Semper Tyrannis >>
Relying on Almighty God: An experience related by Hugo Riemer, former purchasing agent for the Watch Tower Society, reflects the way the Watch Tower Society carries out its business.
During World War II, printing paper was rationed in the United States. Appeal for supplies had to be made to a government-appointed committee. On one occasion one of the prominent Bible societies had lawyers, big-business men, preachers, and others there to represent them before the committee. They were granted far less than they wanted. After their request had been heard, the committee called for the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. When Hugo Riemer and Max Larson stepped forward, the chairman asked: “Just the two of you?” The reply: “Yes. We hope that Almighty God is with us too.” They were granted all the supplies they needed.

Since the early WTCD doesn't have older publication
by thecrushed ini didn't ask why they don't because their own literature makes them out as horrible frauds!
my question is how do you get a hold of stuff like the "finished mystery" "the divine plan of the ages" and other pertinent false doctrine that has been swept under the rug and locked in the coffers at wt headquarters?
i feel so helpless because if i show my wife info on the net she will just write it off as apostate and altered like we have all been trained to think.

Watchtower Dec 2011 Makes fun of fools who think the end is 2012. Ironic??
by Witness 007 inwachtower dec 1 2011 p.10 "french village faces influx of apocalypse believers...they believe the world will end 21 december 2012 when the end of....ancient maya calander...despite predictions by calamity-howling religious leaders, pseudoscientists, and any other prognosticators, earth will be in existence for a long time...when will this occur?
no human knows.
jehovah's witnesses do not try to predict when god will destroy the wicked...{really?

by undercover inyes, friends, it's that time once more... when we clip some wt art to a post and try to find all the subliminal wt propaganda messages hidden in the illustration.

What's this?
Pushing the game of Jenga without having it properly introduced
in any of their publications? Not even once you will find any mention
of it on the WT CD-ROM.
Just wondering if they bought shares of that company?

"They took no note" - ?
by compound complex ina friend and i talked on the phone recently, and he read matthew 24:36-38 from 3 different versions of the bible.
the various renderings indicated that the citizenry were not aware of a coming judgment nor did they suspect anything, giving rise to the thought: what did noah preach (if anything)?
likewise, were people in areas far removed from noah's alleged ark building apprised of his monumental feat?
